We call ourselves Silent Grace. Why? Cause one of our associate pastors asked us to come up
with a name after our second dance. And our ministry/worship requires no words to reach people and to reach God. The way we
see it, when we dance we interpret something that God has put in our hearts and in our minds to spread to people. Just like
preachers feel God telling them what to preach about on Sundays. Usually when we choreograph a dance, we don't have to try
to put moves and expressions with the words... they just come. I truly believe that is God working in us. Some of our dances
tell a story, such as "Thief", which tells the beautiful story of the thief who was put on the cross next to Jesus and was
saved within minutes of his death. Others simply express a feeling we have inside, such as "Here I Am to Worship". You may
have heard it said that dancing in church is unheard of. Well, we can't sing or play instruments to worship God. But God did
give us the gift of dance to use for a reason. You may have also heard it said that we are to use our gifts in every way possible
to glorify our Father. So that is what we are doing. We believe that nothing we put into our dances does anything less than
that. Our dancing is our offering of praise to our Father. What we do is defended by the scripture Psalm 3:149, which says,
"Let them praise His name with dancing!"
Now there are five of us: Amy, me, Danielle, Emily, Marybeth. When we first started
out, it was Amy, Emily and I. Then we added Dani. Then Marybeth. And possibly more still.

Interpretive Dancing:

These two pictures (the ones above and to the right) are from the first dance, the
one I choreographed. We danced to "Here I Am to Worship." The pose above was our ending pose. In order,
it's me, Emily, and Amy.
These four pictures were from our Christmas dance that we choreographed together to
"Oh Holy Night." Same three dancers as the first, plus Danielle.

I'm tired... Who says dancing isn't a sport?
Anything you put your heart into is a sport.

Just so you don't get the wrong idea... In this dance, Brett played the part of Jesus
and Danielle played the part of a sinner for our ending pose. Jesus is saving the sinner by catching her when she completely
hands everything over and falls on him.

Our thief and our Jesus (Ben and Brett) decided to strech with us before we danced at
church.
